Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underwent prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday, his office said. Netanyahu’s office said he was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer last month. The surgery was successful and carried out at a Jerusalem hospital. Netanyahu is expected to be released in the coming days to recover at his home. Netanyahu, 67, has been in power since 2009 and is Israel’s longest-serving prime minister. His office said he will be back at work in the coming days.
